I am a U.S. citizen with a M.A. degree in Latin American history, with a focus on Mexico. I currently reside in Mexico, where I earn a very modest living as a budding writer.
History is my passion and my dream is to collect traditional recipes and information on their preparation. These family foodways are quickly disappearing, as more Mexican consumers are opting for fast and packaged foods. This will eventually lead to the writing of a book on how greater access to commodities has impacted Mexican food habits and customs in the past, as well as the present.
